Admission Requirements

– The candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree from one of the following faculties: Political Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Business Administration, Islamic Sciences, Theology, Law, Financial Sciences, Management Sciences or an equivalent faculty/school with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00.

– The candidates must prove their English language proficiency by scoring 75 YDS (foreign language test) / 90 TOEFL IBT / 75 PTE or above.

– English native speakers and those who have graduated from universities where English is the medium of instruction are exempted from the YDS score requirement.

  • Is there a scholarship opportunity?

Scholarship is not offered to students.

  • Is there an accommodation service?

Accommodation is not offered within the program. Students carry out the accommodation process with their own means.

  • Who pays for transportation?

Transportation expenses are covered by the students.

  • Are there any fees charged during registration to the program?

There is no charge for registration.

  • How much is the tuition fee?

5.000 TL per semerter. (For 2022-2023 academic year)

  • How many years is the program?

The master’s program in Islamic economics and finance in English is two years. It consists of one year of lecture and one year of thesis period.

  • What happens if the student cannot complete his/her thesis in a year?

Students who cannot complete their thesis in one year are given an additional period of one year plus. The student is expected to complete his/her thesis in a total of two years.

  • What is the program content in general terms?

The program is carried out with selected courses from the basic fields of economics, theology, finance and business administration and with expert lecturers in related fields.

  • Is it necessary to reside in Turkey during the thesis period?

It is not necessary for the student to reside in Turkey during the thesis period, provided that he does not interrupt his / her meetings with the advisor.

  • Are the program language and the materials used in the courses entirely in English?

The program language and materials are 100% English.

  • What is the exam process carried out during the academic year?

Within the program, the academic year is divided into two semesters. A total of two exams are held in each semester, one midterm and one final. Lecturers can impose additional responsibilities on the student if they wish.

  • What is the requirement to graduate from the program?

In order to graduate from the program, the student must have successfully completed the course period and defended his or her thesis before the commission.

  • What are the prerequisites for enrolling in the program?

The prerequisites for enrollment in the program are as follows:
